Monkees to perform on Conan O'Brien show
The Monkees will be heading to New York City this weekend to join fellow guests Metallica on the Conan O'Brien show. Their performance will cap a whistle stop promotional tour of the Big Apple, where they will be visiting Central Park, Time Square and Broadway to showcase their greatest hits album. Monkees get star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Peers from across the music industry gathered in Hollywood on Friday to award The Monkees with their very own star on the world famous Walk of Fame. The event drew a record-breaking crowd and friends and family of the band were in attendance for the special occasion. The star was awarded to the band by the Walk of Fame Committee, who paid tribute to their significant contribution to music in a career spanning five decades.
